01Who we are
PromptWick (the "Service") is operated by EAGER DRAGON PUBLISHING LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 14697664 ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy matter you can email us at hello@promptwick.com or at the address in the contact section.
02What data we process
| Category | What it includes | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your email and name when you sign in with Google. | You, via Google |
| Prompt content | The text you submit to improve, and the generated result. | You |
| Library and history | Prompts you save, recent history and variables you define. | You |
| Usage and quotas | Number of improvements per day/month to apply your plan's limits. | Automatic |
| Technical data | IP address (network abuse limiting), browser type and extension version (only if you report a problem). | Automatic |
We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't build advertising profiles.
03Your prompts and AI
To improve a prompt, we send the text you write to our AI model provider, DeepSeek, which processes the text and returns the improved version. Keep in mind:
- Send only what's necessary. Do not include sensitive data (passwords, health, financial or third-party information) in prompts.
- DeepSeek's processing is governed by its own terms. See the international transfers section.
- We keep your recent history (limited to the 100 most recent records per user) so you can reuse it. You can clear it from the extension.
04What we use it for
- Provide the service: process and improve your prompts.
- Manage your account, plan and usage limits (freemium).
- Save your library, history and variables.
- Prevent abuse and fraud (e.g. per-IP limits and global caps).
- Handle your support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations.
05Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data on these bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the service you request.
- Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention and product improvement, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: where applicable; you can withdraw it at any time.
- Legal obligation: where required by law.
06Providers and third parties
We share data with processors that help us operate, under agreements that limit their use:
| Provider | Function | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| DeepSeek | AI model that improves prompts | Prompt content |
| NoCodeBackend | Database | Account, library, history, usage |
| Cloudflare | Usage counters that enforce plan limits | Account identifier and counts |
| Netlify | Backend hosting | Technical request data |
| Sign-in (OAuth) | Email address | |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Payment details, which go to Stripe directly and are never received by us |
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety or the integrity of the service.
Payments
If you buy a paid plan, the payment is taken on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card number never reaches our servers and we never store it. Stripe tells us only which plan you bought and whether it is still active, and we keep that against your account so the plan can be applied. Refunds and payment disputes are handled through Stripe.
07International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside your country, including outside the EEA and the UK. In particular, your prompt content is processed by DeepSeek, whose processing may occur outside the EEA/UK.
When that data leaves the UK or the EEA, we apply recognised safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (UK IDTA), to protect it.
08Retention
- History: we keep the 100 most recent records per user; older ones are deleted automatically.
- Library and variables: until you delete them or close your account.
- Account and usage: while your account is active.
- Technical logs: for a short period for security and diagnostics.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data as described below, except what we must keep by law.
09Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and data portability. California residents may have equivalent rights under the CCPA/CPRA (we do not sell personal data).
To exercise them, email us at hello@promptwick.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the EEA/UK).
10Delete your account and data
You can delete your account and associated data directly from the extension: Settings †’ Delete account and data (with double confirmation). The action is permanent.
If you'd prefer we do it, email us at hello@promptwick.com from your account's email.
11Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit, a database reachable only by our backend and never by the browser, service keys kept off the client, access to your records scoped to your own account, and abuse limits. No system is 100% secure; help us by not including sensitive data in your prompts.
12Minors
The Service is not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we'll note it on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept it.
